Project Seabird reached another milestone on 8 October 2026 when Chief of Defence Staff General N. S. Raja Subramani inaugurated residential accommodation and critical utility infrastructure at Naval Base Karwar, Karnataka. Developed under Phase IIA, the facilities strengthen the Indian Navy’s operational and logistical capabilities, advance defence infrastructure indigenisation and support regional economic development.
