• Geeta Press was awarded Gandhi Peace Prize for the year 2021, Gorakhpur by PM Modi-led jury.
• Gita Press is one of the world’s largest publishers of Bhagavad Gita, the Ramayana and the Upanishads, having published 41.7 crore books in 14 languages, including 16.21 crore Bhagavad Gita. It completes 100 years of its establishment in 2023.

• Institution: The Gandhi Peace Prize is an annual award instituted by Government of India in 1995, on the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi as a tribute to the ideals espoused by Mahatma Gandhi. 
• Eligibility: This is an annual award given to individuals and institutions for their contributions towards social, economic and political transformation through non-violence and other Gandhian methods.
